Obergurgl Ski Holiday
Situated in the spectacular Oetz Valley, Obergurgl ski resort is Austria’s highest parish, resulting in an excellent snow record and a very long skiing season. The village remains largely unspoilt - there is no through traffic and the attractive centre has plenty to offer in the way of traditional nightlife. The skiing and lifts start directly from the village, with skiing back at the end of the day to virtually all the hotels we feature. An alliance with nearby Sölden also means that you can enjoy 'Ski Away Days' (local charge) on Sölden's glacier!
Beginners

Beginners are well catered for with the Mahdstuhl nursery slopes just below Obergurgl village. Sixteen beginners' slopes are covered on the lift pass, some rising to almost 3,000m with spectacular views.
Intermediates

Pistes on the Festkogl and Gaisberg in Obergurgl are mainly above the tree line and lead right down to the village. Experience some exciting tree skiing around the Steinmann lift, while Hochgurgl offers a variety of long challenging runs.
Advanced

Obergurgl has surprisingly good advanced skiing. The Hohe Mut is one of the Tyrol’s biggest bump runs, Sattel has some great off-piste and the exhilarating Festkogl ski route is steep and unforgettable in fresh powder.
Snowboarding

Obergurgl is a little gem sat at high altitude. Beginners should take advantage of the spacious, quiet slopes.
